Free Pattern: Ladybug Applique


Ladybug Crochet Applique



Body
With red yarn, make a Magic Circle
Knot and secure the magic circle.                             
Round 1: Work 7 SC through the loop. SL ST to join, CH 1. (7 SC Total)
Round 2: Work 2 SC in each SC around. SL ST to join, CH 1. (14 SC Total)
Round 3: *Work 1 SC, work 2 SC* [repeat * 7 times], SL ST to join, CH 1.  (21 SC Total)
Round 4: *SC, SC, 2 SC* [repeat * 7 times], SL ST to join, CH 1.  (28 SC Total)
Round 5: *SC, SC, SC, 2 SC* [repeat * 7 times], SL ST to join, CH 1. (35 SC Total)


Dots
With black yarn, make a Magic Circle
Knot and secure the magic circle.                             
Round 1: Work 6 SC through the loop. SL ST to join. (6 SC Total)
(make 3 or 4 dots for each bug)


Head
With Black yarn, make a Magic Circle
Knot and secure the magic circle.                             
Round 1: Work 5 SC through the loop. SL ST to join, CH 1. (5 SC Total)
Round 2: Work 2 SC in each SC around. SL ST to join, CH 1. (10 SC Total)
Round 3-6: SC in each SC
Sew 2 strands of yarns for bug’s antenna


Finishing
Align and sew the head to the body. Knot, secure and sew in the tails.
Sew dots on the body and don’t forget to sew a strand of yarn in midline
